Katie Lamb joined Octavo Designs in July of 2020 after graduating from James Madison University with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Studio Art. Through her experience as a graphic designer she’s become a great multifaceted asset to the team with strengths in illustration, logo development, brand identity, packaging, and print design. With 4 years under her belt at Octavo, she has gained proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, and Canva. Having grown up in Frederick County, she feels a strong connection to the vibrant community and enjoys working with local clients, in addition to those beyond the area.
Growing up, Katie always has a passion for art and enjoyed working with different media. Throughout college, she pushed her strengths to the next level by taking numerous fine art courses including print making, painting, drawing, and illustration. At Octavo she has learned how to leverage her fine art skills to enhance projects, bringing a unique edge to the designs she works on. She always enjoys diving into the process of a new project with custom sketches and creative solutions.
When she’s off the screen or not in front of a canvas, Katie enjoys a good hike, a spontaneous trip, running half marathons, eating good food, and spending time with her two short weiner dogs—Eddie and Hunter.
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep."
